The Edward Loxley collection presents the Lake District through an unmistakably bold, graphic lens. Stripped of fine detail, these scenes focus purely on the imposing shapes of the mountains and the vast stretches of water that define the region. A highly restricted palette characterises the collection, where striking brick reds and warm terracotta tones clash beautifully against cool, flat expanses of aqua and teal.

In these landscapes, familiar sights—a solitary red boat cutting through the water, or a pair of sheep grazing on a steep bank—are rendered in bold, contrasting blocks of colour. Stark, textured white lines break through the solid forms of the fells, visually evoking the rugged, rocky terrain and the sharp ridges of the high ground. The water is depicted with rhythmic, horizontal dashes of white and red, mimicking the gentle movement of the lake surface.

Framed within crisp, square borders against a textured off-white background, these vibrant scenes bring a pronounced modern aesthetic to the traditional pastoral landscape. The result is a collection of visually arresting focal pieces, perfect for bringing a vivid splash of colour and a structured, contemporary feel to any room.
