Buttermere Pines with Peach Reflections

The absolute stillness of the water creates a flawless, mirror-like surface in this contemporary take on one of the Lake District's most iconic shorelines. Soft pastel tones bleed into the lake, contrasting beautifully with the deep, structured greens of the surrounding landscape.

A dramatic stand of dark Scots pines anchors the composition, standing on the near banks of Buttermere. Behind them, the craggy fells rise in sweeping, painterly brushstrokes of olive and vibrant green, while a steep slope to the right introduces unexpected washes of pale peach and blush. These bold, structural forms are perfectly duplicated in the glassy water below, creating a mesmerising symmetry broken only by the delicate texture of the shoreline grasses.

Bring the commanding atmosphere of the fells into your home with this sophisticated piece. An ideal focal point for a living room, hallway or modern study, it is available as a museum-quality print, stretched canvas, or framed canvas. Choose from square sizes of 40cm, 70cm or 90cm, with a natural wood frame perfectly complementing the warm, earthy tones of the shoreline.
