Colourful Fellside Slate Cottages

The traditional architecture of the Lake District takes on an extraordinarily luminous quality in this evocative artwork. Set against a rising fell, these humble stone dwellings anchor a landscape awash with vibrant, unexpected colour.

Sturdy slate roofs are nestled among foreground foliage that sings with brilliant teals, rich ochres, and soft peach grasses. Expressive brushstrokes bring texture to the sweeping fellside behind, where muted greens and russets climb towards a pale, airy sky. The interplay of cool blues and warm earthy tones creates a wonderful sense of natural light and depth.

A striking focal point for a bright living room or a welcoming hallway, this piece brings a contemporary, colourful twist to classic Cumbrian scenery. Available as a museum-quality Print or Canvas in square sizes of 40cm, 70cm, or 90cm. Choose a Framed Print or Framed Canvas in black, white, or natural wood for a beautiful, ready-to-hang finish.
