Golden Fells at Grasmere

A sudden burst of intense, radiant light transforming a familiar fell-side into a brilliant canvas of gold. This striking impression of Grasmere captures the dramatic interplay of light and deep shadow that defines the Lake District's most atmospheric afternoons.

In the foreground, a heavily textured meadow of tall, seeding grasses gives way to the perfect stillness of the water. At the lake's heart, a dark, prominent wood stands in sharp relief against the blazing, luminous ochres and yellows of the mountain rising behind it. The water acts as a mirror, drawing the intense gold and deep, indigo-tinged greens down into the calm depths to create a scene of profound warmth.

A breathtaking centrepiece for a living room or a welcoming addition to a hallway, this piece brings the glowing energy of the Lakes indoors. Choose from our premium canvas or museum-quality giclée print formats, available framed in natural, black, or white solid wood.
