Golden Reflections on Wastwater

The dramatic scale of Wasdale Head is transformed by an explosion of radiant light. This striking interpretation of the valley captures the raw energy of the fells through bold, textured brushwork and an unexpectedly vivid palette.

Yewbarrow's distinctive pyramid anchors the left, cast in deep earthy greens and slate-blue shadows. Below, the surface of Wastwater is ablaze with rippling strokes of golden yellow, salmon pink and warm orange. In the foreground, substantial grey boulders sit amongst shoreline grasses, grounding the swirling, luminous waters against the rugged terrain.

A magnificent statement piece for a living room or a Cumbrian holiday let, this vibrant scene brings warmth to any space.
