Slate Waters of Easedale Tarn

Vast, still, and reduced to its most elemental forms, this striking piece offers a highly stylised perspective on the upland waters of Easedale Tarn. The landscape is pared back entirely, allowing the sheer scale and raw atmosphere of the terrain to dominate the composition.

A deep, unyielding expanse of slate-blue water cuts sharply against the pale, sandy tones of the surrounding fells. In the foreground, a heavily textured boulder and sparse, golden-brown grasses anchor the right edge, contrasting beautifully with the smooth, sweeping lines of the distant slopes and the hazy, near-white sky above.

This contemplative artwork brings a profound sense of calm to modern living rooms, studies, or minimalist interiors. Available in 40cm, 70cm, or 90cm square sizes, it can be ordered as a museum-quality print, a contemporary canvas, or a framed piece in black, white, or natural wood, arriving completely ready to hang.
