Stark Trees at Coniston Water

The commanding presence of Coniston Water is distilled into striking graphic rhythms in this bold interpretation of the Lake District landscape. Stripping back the view to its structural essence, the artwork relies on dynamic, textured contrast to convey the raw energy of the fells and water.

Deep, inky silhouettes anchor the foreground, where bare, sculptural trees frame the shoreline. Beyond, the lake surface is alive with sweeping, rhythmic dashes that guide the eye towards the distant fells. These peaks are built from dense, repetitive patterns, contrasting sharply against the calm, off-white expanse of the sky to create a scene of immense depth and movement.

This commanding piece brings a touch of bold elegance to any space, making a striking focal point in a contemporary living room, study, or hallway. Available as a museum-standard print, stretched canvas, or beautifully framed in black, white, or natural wood, it is offered in 40cm, 70cm, and 90cm square sizes—an exceptional gift for those who cherish the Lakes.
