Sunlit Tree and Shadowed Fell

The fading hours of the day often transform the landscape into a theatre of intense light and profound contrast. This striking piece captures that fleeting moment when the low sun casts a brilliant spotlight across the fells, leaving the surrounding slopes steeply shadowed.

A vast expanse of deep, slate-blue sky creates a stark backdrop for the imposing, almost silhouetted hillside. Against this heavy darkness, a sweeping ridge of vibrant, golden-green grass blazes in the evening light. A single, richly detailed tree and a solitary white cottage stand sharply illuminated, drawing the eye instantly into this isolated pocket of warmth amidst the encroaching dusk.

With its bold composition and minimalist aesthetic, this artwork makes a magnificent focal point for a contemporary living room or a stylish hallway. Available in 40cm, 70cm, and 90cm square formats, you can choose a classic gallery-quality print, a textured canvas, or a ready-to-hang framed option in black, white, or natural wood.
