Documenting the full set on a single sheet transforms your wall into a working record of summits conquered and routes yet to be walked.

This edition maps the terrain as a classic engineer's blueprint. Surveyed LIDAR data creates fine white contour isolines over a deep cyanotype blue ground, highlighting pale blue lakes. Every Wainwright features a numbered pin, colour-coded to the guidebooks. A comprehensive key beneath the map groups the 214 fells by region, listing their heights exactly as Wainwright recorded them in feet.

It arrives framed and ready to hang; we recommend a crisp white or natural wood frame to perfectly contrast the rich blue. Size

One size: 50 x 70 cm (about 20 x 28 inches). That is the printed sheet itself; on the framed option the 20 mm moulding sits outside it, and there is no mount, so the map runs to the frame.

There is only one size because of the key. All 214 fells are named on the sheet, and that type sets at 3.4 mm at 50 x 70 cm, 2.5 mm at 45 x 60 and 1.4 mm at 30 x 40 — only the largest is comfortably readable, so only the largest is sold. Reading the fell names is the point of the sheet.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed — a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding in black, white or natural oak, glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, on an MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Unframed — the same print on its own, rolled and posted in a tube for you to frame as you like.

Delivery and returns

Every sheet is printed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days; an unframed print is quicker, as there is nothing to assemble or glaze. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.

This map is printed as two different sheets. This one is the poster: every summit numbered by height, with a key naming all 214 fells — something finished, to hang and to read.

The other is the checklist. Same map, but all 214 fells are listed beside it with a box to tick and a line to write the date you climbed each one, and it comes unframed — because you cannot tick a box through glazing.

Every fell, named and measured

The relief is drawn from surveyed LIDAR elevation data, so the ground under the pins is the real ground: every ridge, every valley and every lake where it actually lies. Each of the 214 summits sits at its own surveyed position, coloured by which of Wainwright's seven Pictorial Guides it belongs to, and numbered by height — highest first, in the altitudes Wainwright himself recorded.
