The 214 Wainwrights are the legendary fells of Alfred Wainwright’s seven Pictorial Guides. For any Lake District walker, bagging the complete set is a profound achievement. Having the entire round displayed together forms a beautiful, lasting record of those hard-won summits.

This rosette design is arranged by height, featuring our Solid · Winter Ice palette of tonal midnight blues, slate blue, and pale silver grey. Each tile is a white line drawing of the fell's true skyline on flat colour. With names arced over the top and heights in feet and metres arced beneath, the sheet reads from across the room as colour and up close as a meticulous list of summits.

Delivered framed and ready to hang in the hallway or snug, this square poster lets walkers easily tally their progress. A crisp white or natural wood frame perfectly suits these icy mountain tones, making it an outstanding finishing gift for any completer.

Sizes

Every poster is square, and the size given is the printed sheet itself — the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount: the print runs to the frame, so all 214 fells are on show.

The sizes available for this design are the ones in the picker above. Larger is not simply bigger, it is more readable: at the largest size each fell tile is around 29 mm across and its name reads comfortably from arm's length, while the smaller sizes read as a whole from across a room and reward a closer look.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every fell, named and measured

Each tile is drawn from the fell's own skyline, so no two are alike, and each carries the name Wainwright himself used along with its height in both feet and metres — his original guidebook altitude beside the modern survey. The fells run in height order, highest first, which is why the colour sorts itself down the sheet.
