Thirlmere Reservoir and Steep Fells

The immense scale of the landscape commands attention in this high-level view of Thirlmere. From a dizzying vantage point, the reservoir becomes a graphic sweep of pale water carving boldly through the valley.

A massive, sandy-hued crag anchors the right side of the composition, its steep face plunging toward the water. Opposite, the fells are cloaked in deep slate-blue forests that meet the lake along jagged, earthy shores. The reservoir itself is a stark, flat expanse of pale grey, stretching north to dissolve into a distant, misty dam, offering immense depth and sharp visual contrast.

With its bold, minimalist aesthetic, this piece creates a captivating focal point for contemporary living spaces or a modern study. Available as a museum-quality print or stretched canvas in 40cm, 70cm, or 90cm square sizes, you can choose a black, white, or natural wood frame to perfectly complement your interior.
