Thirlmere Reservoir in Golden Ochre

A commanding, elevated view of Thirlmere, defined by intense contrasts and bold, sweeping brushstrokes.

Rich mustard and golden ochre tones dominate the foreground fells, catching a fierce light that cuts through the dramatic weather. These vivid sunlit banks stand in stark relief against deep charcoal shadows and dark, forested edges. The reservoir itself stretches northwards down the valley, its surface a cool slate blue that mirrors the heavy, brooding sky above the distant mountain ridges.

This striking piece brings rugged Lake District atmosphere into any living room, study or hallway. Available as a museum-standard print, stretched canvas, or a fully framed piece in natural, black or white wood.
