Vivid Elter Water from Above

A radical reimagining of a familiar Lake District jewel. This bold interpretation of Elter Water swaps traditional upland tones for a fearless palette of electrifying hues, transforming the Langdale valley into a contemporary celebration of colour.

From this elevated vantage point, the lake’s irregular shape and wooded peninsulas are rendered in striking, saturated oils. The water glows with bright pink reflections, cradled by fields of fiery orange and vivid green. Deep indigo shadows gather in the distant fells and dark, sweeping woods, creating intense contrast against the expressive, warm brushstrokes of the foreground.

A striking statement piece for modern living rooms, bright hallways, or contemporary holiday lets. Available in 40cm, 70cm, and 90cm square sizes, choose a museum-quality print or stretched canvas to suit your space. Add a black, white, or natural frame for a ready-to-hang finish, making it a spectacular gift for any lover of the Lakes.
