Lake Ripples at First Light

The first light of morning breaks across the water, revealing a landscape defined by striking, graphic contrasts. This is the Lake District stripped back to its elemental forms, where deep shadows and icy highlights meet to dramatic effect.

A bold exploration of colour and light, the piece uses varying shades of slate, navy, and pale blue, punctuated by stark white reflections. Concentric ripples disturb the otherwise glassy surface of the water, drawing the eye past silhouetted reeds and an overhanging bough. In the distance, overlapping fells fade into an atmospheric morning haze, building a profound sense of scale.

Bring this bold, contemporary view of the fells into your hallway, study, or holiday let. Available as a museum-grade print, stretched canvas, or a framed piece in black, white, or natural wood, this square artwork is offered in 40cm, 70cm, and 90cm sizes. Whichever format you select, it arrives ready to hang and immediately elevate your space.
