Borrowdale River in Slate Blue

Bold contrasts and sweeping lines define this striking interpretation of Borrowdale. The deep, forested valleys of the Lake District are reimagined here in a highly graphic style, offering a fresh, contemporary take on a classic Lakeland view.

Rendered in a strict palette of navy, slate and icy blue, the artwork uses stark white highlights to define the rushing water of the valley floor. Heavy, dark trees anchor the middle ground, while the intricate textures of the foreground grasses give way to the towering, boldly lined flanks of the surrounding fells beneath crisp rolling clouds.

A perfect statement piece for a modern living room or a stylish holiday let, this striking design commands attention. Choose a museum-standard framed print in black to enhance the deep tones, or a stretched canvas for a contemporary finish, available in 40cm, 70cm and 90cm square formats.
