Olive Fells Above The Lake

Sweeping curves and interlocking planes reduce the dramatic landscape to its most elegant, essential forms. This contemporary piece offers a fresh, calming perspective on the familiar fells and waters, using structure and muted colour to convey a deep sense of stillness.

Deep forest greens anchor the foreground banks, giving way to receding layers of olive and sage as the hills roll away. Striking geometric patches of warm taupe and sand suggest distant fields or soft light breaking across the ridges. Below, the water mirrors the pale, creamy tones of the sky, creating a vast, luminous centre that beautifully balances the weight of the surrounding peaks.
