Teal Reeds at Elterwater

A bold, structural reimagining of the Cumbrian landscape, this contemporary piece breaks the familiar scenery of Elterwater into striking geometric planes of colour. It offers a vibrant, modern take on traditional lake views, translating the natural world through a crisp, architectural lens.

Expressive brushstrokes define the forest-green fells and the sharp, vertical thrust of foreground reeds. A stark, horizontal band of cream cuts decisively across the composition, separating the textured mountains from the smooth, fragmented quadrants of mint and deep teal water. The interplay between flat, colour-blocked areas and richly applied impasto textures creates a captivating sense of depth and contrast.

This vibrant artwork brings a sophisticated pop of colour to modern living rooms or minimalist hallways.
