Winding Ullswater and Wooded Islands

A dramatic shift in perspective transforms the familiar curves of the Lake District into a striking study of form and colour. Looking down upon Ullswater, this piece strips the landscape back to its essential elements, offering a vast, contemplative vision of the high fells.

The stark, brilliant white of the winding water carves a bold path through the scene, studded with tiny wooded islands. Along the shoreline, steep slopes rise in heavy blocks of slate blue, while the opposing banks unfold in warm, sandy beiges and muted earth tones. Distant peaks fade into a soft, misty grey, adding layers of profound depth.

With its bold contrasts and modern aesthetic, this artwork makes a commanding centrepiece for contemporary living rooms or minimalist studies. Available as a premium print or ready-to-hang framed canvas in 40cm, 70cm, or 90cm square formats, it brings a fresh perspective of the Lakes into your home.
