Aira Force drops with sudden power through a deep, wooded rock gorge into a dark plunge pool. Walkers pause amidst dense trees and damp ferns to look up at the small stone footbridge spanning the top of the falls, taking in the scale of this dramatic woodland cleft.

This design captures the landscape in a layered papercut style. The scene is built from six receding planes, drawing the eye past deep green fern silhouettes and rocky gorge walls into the distant mist. From across a room, each cut edge casts a soft shadow, creating a striking sense of depth that leads straight to the bright ribbon of falling water.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this vertical scene makes a bold statement on a narrow stairwell. A natural wood frame warms the rich forest greens, while a black frame sharpens the dramatic papercut shadows. It belongs to a wider series of Lake District posters, designed to be collected and hung together.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
