Aira Force is a captivating sight: a tall, narrow waterfall dropping sheer through a wooded rock gorge into a dark pool. Visitors stand entranced by the roar of the water, looking up to a small stone footbridge elegantly spanning the top, framed by vibrant ferns and dense trees.

This Swiss Modernist treatment strips the gorge down to its most striking geometry. Across a room, the design reads as a bold arrangement of flat, starkly contrasted shapes: deep black crags set against cool grey foliage. The slender white column of the waterfall draws the eye downwards, anchored by a single, saturated red fern in the foreground. Crisp typography completes the mid-century aesthetic.

Perfect for a hallway or modern study, this framed, ready-to-hang print brings a graphic edge to any wall. A black frame is the ideal choice here, sharply defining the dark rock face and striking typography. As part of a wider collection of bold Lakeland designs, it looks superb hung alone or grouped as a matching set.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

The Swiss Modernist series

Mid-century Swiss reduction — a fell in five shapes and a single red rule

The severest treatment we make. A fell reduced to five flat shapes, acres of quiet ground and a single accent, in the manner of the Swiss tourism posters of the 1960s. It suits a modern room and a plain wall.
