A dramatic highlight of a woodland walk, Aira Force is a tall, narrow waterfall dropping with immense power through a steep rock gorge. Walkers pause on the small stone footbridge spanning the top, watching the water plunge into a dark pool below, surrounded by dense trees and lush ferns.

Channeling the 1930s railway poster tradition, this design reduces the gorge to bold, graphic shapes. From across a room, a striking vertical of white water slices brightly through the deep greens and purples of the rock face. Flat inks build the stylised foreground ferns, anchored by classic typography.

Perfect for a stairwell or a welcoming hallway, this framed poster arrives ready to hang. A natural wood frame beautifully complements the forested greens, while a black frame sharpens the vintage text. Part of a wider railway-style collection, it looks magnificent alone or grouped as a gallery of favourite walks.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The Railway Screen Print series

The 1930s railway poster: flat inks, bold shapes, one perfect line of type

The style that sold the British countryside to the railway age. Flat screen-printed colour, hard-edged clouds and a place name set large across the foot of the sheet. Every poster in this collection treats a Lakeland place the way the LNER and Shell artists treated a coastline.
