Ashness Bridge in Moody Slate

A classic Borrowdale scene is transformed by fierce texture and a striking, unconventional palette. This impression of Ashness Bridge reimagines the famous packhorse crossing through a highly tactile interplay of deep shadows and vivid highlights.

Icy blues and moody slate greys build the solid stone arch and the tumbling waters of the rocky beck below. Across the foreground, bold slashes of mustard yellow suggest wild fell grasses caught in a sudden burst of light. The dark, atmospheric pines and distant water are layered with expressive, etched lines and heavy texture, giving the landscape a rugged, dramatic depth.

A commanding focal point for a living room, hallway or modern study. Bring this vibrant slice of the Lakes to your walls as a classic Print or stretched Canvas, with Framed options in black, white or natural wood. Available in 40cm, 70cm and 90cm square sizes.
