Descending Helvellyn Path to Thirlmere

The descent from the high fells brings a unique reward as the valley opens up below. This atmospheric piece captures the sweeping view over Thirlmere, bathed in a luminous haze that softens the dramatic mountain contours.

A rugged, stony path leads the eye downward through steep slopes rich in burnt orange, warm ochre and sweeping russet. Beyond the textured fellside, the lake and distant peaks are rendered in brooding indigos and deep violets, creating a striking contrast between the warm earth and the cool, misty valley.

A majestic addition to a hallway, study or living space, this artwork brings the scale of the Lakes indoors. Available as a museum-quality print or ready-to-hang canvas in 40cm, 70cm or 90cm square sizes. Add a black, white or natural frame to complete this striking fell-walker's gift.
