Herdwicks on a Steep Green Fell

High on the grassy slopes, the undisputed icons of the Lake District weather the elements. A resolute line of Herdwick sheep traces the steep diagonal contour of a vibrant fellside, their distinct forms standing bright against the looming weather.

Deep, atmospheric pools of indigo and teal dominate the sky, pressing down onto the vivid emerald green of the grazing ridge. The foreground transitions into an expansive, abstract sweep of warm ochre, burnt sienna, and stark white, creating a striking modern contrast with the traditional, rustic subject.

A brilliant focal point for a modern country interior, welcoming hallway, or Lakes holiday let. Offered in square formats of 40cm, 70cm, and 90cm, this piece is available as a museum-grade print or solid wood canvas. Select a natural, white, or black frame to have your Animals & Wildlife artwork arrive perfectly ready to hang.
