Rippled Blue Lake at Dawn

The stillness of early morning is captured in striking contrast in this graphic Lakeland scene. Drawing on traditional printmaking styles, the artwork distils the complex landscape into a rhythmic dance of form, using a single, rich shade of cobalt blue against a warm, unbleached ground.

Sweeping horizontal bands break the lake's surface, suggesting the gentle, waking ripples of dawn. Heavily silhouetted pines frame the water's edge, their textured boughs reaching out over the calm expanse. Beyond the tree-lined shores, the distant fells are rendered in sweeping diagonal lines, adding a dynamic energy to the peaceful morning vista.

This bold piece brings a contemporary edge to any space, ideal for a modern living room or a stylish holiday let. Available as a museum-standard print, stretched canvas, or a framed piece in Black, White, or Natural wood, it comes in 40cm, 70cm, and 90cm square sizes to perfectly suit your wall.
