Aira Force is a tall, narrow waterfall plunging through a steep rock gorge into a dark pool. Walkers pause on the small stone footbridge spanning the top of the drop, enclosed by the dense trees and ferns clinging to the beck's banks.

This design reimagines the force through the strict geometry of the Bauhaus movement. From across a room, the landscape resolves into bold, interlocking shapes: the plunging water as a sheer white column, the fells as sharp triangles and perfect circles, and the framing ferns as precise yellow diagonals. The palette relies on deep forest greens and stark blocks of primary colour, echoing mid-century graphic design.

Perfect for a stairwell or a modern sitting room, this piece arrives framed and ready to hang. A black frame sharpens the strong lines of the gorge, while a simple white moulding emphasises the crisp, poster-style typography. Designed as part of a wider geometric series, it works beautifully as a single statement or collected as a set of three.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The Bauhaus series

Primary geometry on a strict grid — the fells as circles, triangles and blocks

The landscape put through the Bauhaus: circles, triangles and hard rectangles on a strict grid, in primary red, cobalt and chrome yellow. Severe, cheerful and utterly modern — it suits a plain wall and a room with no clutter.
