Coniston Water draws sailors and walkers to its deep, linear waters. Seen from the wooded eastern shore, a small jetty and moored boat lead the eye down the lake's straight length toward the immense whaleback ridge rising on the far side.

The design reduces the landscape to strict Bauhaus geometry. Fells are rebuilt as bold triangles and blocks of primary red, blue, and yellow, while shoreline trees become stark circles. From across a room, it reads as a striking modernist statement, contrasting the crisp white boat against deep, flat planes of colour.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
