Blea Tarn sits high at the valley head, drawing walkers who seek a dramatic foreground to the craggy summits beyond. Visitors pause at the water's edge among scattered rocks, taking in the sheer scale of the landscape framed by a steep green fellside to the right.

The design applies mid-century simplicity to the scene, reducing fells and water to bold, flat shapes. From across a room, a rich palette of rust red, deep teal, and mustard yellow immediately catches the eye. Up close, playful texture emerges through tiny repeated chevrons, dashes, and dots patterning the slopes and shoreline.

Perfect for a modern stairwell or study, this print arrives framed and ready to hang. A black frame sharply defines the bold geometry, while natural wood highlights its earthy tones. Part of a wider collection, it looks brilliant hung alone or alongside other destinations to build a matching gallery set.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The Mid-Century Wildlife series

Charley Harper simplicity: flat shapes, playful stylisation, tiny repeated marks

In the manner of Charley Harper: extreme simplification into flat geometric shapes, texture suggested by tiny repeated marks, and a great deal of confident empty ground. Teal, mustard, brick and sage.
