Derwentwater is a wide, calm lake defined by its scattering of small, wooded islands. Walkers stand on these shores to look towards the western fells across the water, tracing the skyline before the steep jaws of the valley close in the distance.

This design views the landscape through a mid-century lens, reducing the topography to bold, flat shapes and a playfully stylised bird. From across a room, the vintage palette of teal, terracotta, and mustard creates a striking graphic presence, while tiny repeated marks add texture to the fells.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this print brings bold colour to a hallway or study. A black frame sharply defines its graphic edges, while a natural wood frame complements the earthy tones. Part of a wider mid-century series, it works perfectly alone or collected as a set of three.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
