Tarn Hows Island Pine

The mist lingering over Tarn Hows reveals a landscape of striking contrasts, where a brooding atmosphere meets the intense warmth of the shoreline. This evocative piece translates a classic Lake District view into a dramatic study of colour and soft, atmospheric light.

A tall leaning pine anchors the composition, standing on a small island against a backdrop of deep indigo and violet. The still water mirrors the hazy sky, while the foreground erupts in sweeping, textural accents of russet, burnt orange, and warm ochre, grounded by a heavy, moss-draped boulder.

Bring the majestic warmth of the Lakes indoors with a museum-standard Print, Canvas, Framed Print, or Framed Canvas. Available in 40cm, 70cm, and 90cm square formats, with frames in black, white, or natural wood, this artwork makes a captivating addition to a cosy living room or a wonderful gift for any fell-walker.
