The ascent of Catbells is a quintessential Lake District ridge walk. Looking directly along the path towards the domed summit, steep bracken slopes fall away sharply on the left, while a rich expanse of patchwork fields sits far below on the right.

This 1930s railway-style poster reduces the landscape to striking, flat planes of colour. Deep purples and mauves define the rugged heights, contrasting with the winding mustard path and muted greens below. From across a room, these bold, simplified shapes and the crisp, prominent typography make a confident, nostalgic impact.

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
