Catbells offers one of the most rewarding ridge walks in the district. This view looks straight along the winding path to the domed summit, with steep bracken slopes falling away to the left and patchwork valley fields far below on the right.

The landscape is stripped back to the bold geometry of a vintage railway poster in a hard frost. From across a room, the sweeping ridge path slices through blocks of slate grey and bright snow, while ice-blue valley tones are contrasted by a single wash of cold pink.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece makes a striking statement in a stairwell or sitting room. A black wooden frame brilliantly sharpens the icy contrasts of the design. Part of a wider travel series, it works beautifully alone or collected alongside other favourite fells.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
