Ashness Bridge is a traditional stone packhorse bridge spanning a rocky beck, marking an iconic Lakeland viewpoint. Walkers pause here to look down the steep fellside towards the water far below, tracing the vast mountain massif rising beyond the low parapet.

The view is treated to a bold Mid-century Swiss reduction, paring the landscape back to flat geometric planes. From across a room, the design reads instantly: a heavy black arch over rushing water, and a single, striking flash of a bright red tree set against sweeping greyscale slopes.
