Grasmere is a small, round lake enclosed by the steep shoulders of Helm Crag and Silver How. Walkers trace the water's edge, looking out past the dense near-shore reed beds to the single wooded island that anchors the valley floor.

This Swiss Modernist design reduces the landscape to a handful of bold, interlocking shapes. Flat planes of grey map the fells, while the island and near shore are thrown into sharp black silhouette. From across a room, the eye is instantly drawn to the striking mid-century typography and the single brilliant red sun suspended in a cream sky.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, it makes a strong graphic statement above a study desk or lining a stairwell. A black frame sharply defines the dark foreground reeds, while a white wood profile provides a clean gallery finish. Belonging to a wider series, it hangs handsomely alone or grouped as a Lakeland set.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
