Set into a lovely linocut illustration, this poem describes the timeless, roaring waters of Aira Force, perfectly catching the cold spray, stone bridges, and sudden bright rainbows of the falls. Walkers and nature lovers who hold fond memories of this ancient woodland waterfall will adore having this print on their wall.

Aira Force

You hear it long before it shows:
A roar beneath the dripping trees,
Then, round the bend, the white force throws
Its cold breath on the passing breeze.

A stone bridge spans the top, and one
Below it, where the spray hangs thick;
And if you're lucky with the sun,
A rainbow shows there, bright and quick.

The water drops, and drops again,
As it has done since long before
The first feet climbed here in the rain,
And will, when we come here no more.

Sizes

A4 — 21 × 29.7 cm

A3 — 29.7 × 42 cm

Each size is the printed sheet itself. Framed, the 20 mm moulding sits outside it and there is no mount, so the whole sheet is on show. Unframed, it is sent flat, ready for a frame of your own.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper — no gloss and no glare, so the words read cleanly from across a room.

Framed in a 20 mm wide solid wood moulding in black, white or natural wood, glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, with a backing board and hanging fixtures already fitted.

Unframed prints are the same paper and the same print, sent flat.
