Long since, this lake and Buttermere
Were one, until the becks brought down
Their silt and stone, year after year,
And built the meadows, green and brown.

Beneath Red Pike, through its dark cleft,
Scale Force drops further than the rest;
And Mellbreak's steep, grey flanks are left
To guard the lake along the west.

It's quieter than its famous twin,
Less known, less walked, less often shown,
And that's the gift it holds within:
A long, grey lake to call your own.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
