Set within a beautiful linocut illustration, this original poem captures the deep, restful quiet of Grasmere, looking from Loughrigg Terrace down to the sweet drift of village gingerbread. It is a lovely print for anyone who enjoys walking by the Rothay and wants to hang a moment of true peace on their wall.

Grasmere

From Loughrigg Terrace, looking down,
The lake lies still round one green isle,
And past it, stone roofs grey and brown
Sit under Helm Crag's rocky smile.

The Rothay slips by, slow and clear,
Past Wordsworth's grave and churchyard yews,
And gingerbread from just by here
Drifts over, sweet as village news.

I take the path back through the wood
With something quiet in my chest,
As if the valley understood
That I had walked so far to rest.

The print. A4 (21 x 29.7cm) or A3 (29.7 x 42cm). Framed in a solid wood moulding in black, white or natural wood, with shatterproof acrylic glazing and hanging fixtures fitted, or unframed on 200gsm fine-art paper, sent flat and ready for a frame of your own. Printed to order.

Sizes

A4 — 21 × 29.7 cm

A3 — 29.7 × 42 cm

Each size is the printed sheet itself. Framed, the 20 mm moulding sits outside it and there is no mount, so the whole sheet is on show. Unframed, it is sent flat, ready for a frame of your own.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper — no gloss and no glare, so the words read cleanly from across a room.

Framed in a 20 mm wide solid wood moulding in black, white or natural wood, glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, with a backing board and hanging fixtures already fitted.

Unframed prints are the same paper and the same print, sent flat.
