Helvellyn

The silver clag begins to fold
Across the steep and broken scree;
The autumn air is damp and cold,
And takes the valley floor from me.

Along the blade of Striding Edge,
The wind begins a hollow moan;
Below the dark and shattered ledge,
Red Tarn lies black against the stone.

The wet slate shifts beneath my boot,
The air is water on my skin;
The mountain strips me to the root,
And lets the heavy silence in.

When I am back on valley ground,
And sleep beneath a gentle rain,
The stillness of the fell is bound
Like iron water in my vein.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
