Stepping into the forested gorge of Aira Force is a Lakeland rite of passage. A tall, narrow waterfall drops powerfully into a dark pool. A small stone footbridge spans the top of the force, offering walkers a dramatic view of the cascade framed by dense trees and ancient ferns.

The design captures the plunging water in a purely Impressionist style. Replacing hard outlines with broken colour and dissolving light, it mimics the woodland's dappled shade. From across a room, textured marks of soft green, deep purple and shimmering white resolve into a rushing curtain of water above bold typography.

Delivered framed and ready to hang, it brings the force's energy into a hallway or study. A natural wood frame echoes earthy woodland tones, while a white frame highlights the bright water. Belonging to a wider series, it is perfect for building a gallery of favourite walks.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
