Looking toward Wasdale Head over Wastwater is a defining Lakeland view. A rocky shoreline gives way to the deep lake, perfectly mirroring the fells. The pyramid of Yewbarrow rises on the left, drawing the eye to Great Gable at the valley head, flanked by the massive slopes of the Scafells to the right.

This impressionist treatment captures the valley through broken colour and dissolving light, swapping flat graphics for the textured marks of plein-air oils. Up close, the shore is a mosaic of violet and soft pink brushstrokes. From across a room, these vibrant dabs merge into a luminous reflection, defining the landscape entirely without outlines.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, it brings a soft, painterly presence to a bedroom or study. A white frame highlights the pastel tones of the water, while natural wood complements the rocky foreground. It forms part of a wider collection, perfect for hanging as a set along a hallway.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
