Blencathra’s broad saddleback summit rises distinctly above the valley pastures, offering a familiar and beloved skyline for returning walkers. In the foreground meadow, an ancient circle of standing stones anchors the scene, separated from the rising fell by a dark, sweeping line of trees.

The Muted Modern style reduces this vast landscape to quiet, chalky minimalism. From across a room, the poster reads as a satisfying stack of bold shapes in a calming palette of sand, oat, and sage. Clean, spacious typography at the foot provides the structural appeal of a classic railway bill.

Perfect for a calming bedroom or a bright stairwell, it arrives framed and ready to hang. A natural wood frame beautifully complements the earthy oat tones, while a white frame sharpens the modern aesthetic. Part of a wider series, it looks striking hung alone or grouped as a set of three.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Delivery and returns

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.

The Muted Modern series

Chalky modern minimalism in sand, oat and sage — made to live with

Quiet, chalky and low-contrast, in the sand, oat, clay and sage a modern interior is already painted in. The place is still exactly itself — just held softly enough to live above a sofa for twenty years.
