Haystacks is a knobbled summit of rocky knolls and small pools, where Innominate Tarn lies in a sheltered hollow. Walkers cross this rugged plateau to take in dramatic views of the long wall of Pillar and the High Stile ridge rising steeply across the valley beyond.

The landscape is treated here in an Impressionist style, built entirely from broken colour and dissolving light. Without hard outlines, the rocky foreground and reflective tarn are shaped by dappled dabs of violet, gold, and earthy green. From across a room, these plein-air oil marks resolve into a luminous mountain scene, anchored by classic vintage typography.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece brings the airy fells into a sitting room or stairwell. A natural wood frame beautifully highlights the earthy summit tones, while a black frame sharpens the bold lettering. Part of a wider travel poster series, it looks striking alone or collected as a set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
