Honister Pass presents a dramatic ascent, its narrow road climbing steeply through a rocky defile. This high route winds between imposing crags and old quarry workings, where slate spoil scars the steep fellside. Looking back, the valley falls away in a sweeping drop, rewarding those who navigate this rugged terrain.

The design translates the stark landscape into our layered papercut style. Six planes of cut paper recede into mist, each sharp edge casting a soft shadow. From across a room, the sheer walls become bold, overlapping shapes in deep slate-blues and muted greens, the winding road drawing the eye upward.

Striking on a stairwell or above a desk, this piece brings the scale of the pass indoors. It arrives framed and ready to hang, looking sharp in a black frame to ground the deep slate tones. Part of a wider collection, it works beautifully alone or hung as a set.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Delivery and returns

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
