Honister Pass is a spectacular, steep climb through a rocky defile. Walkers and drivers tackle this narrow road, flanked by imposing crags and the distinct scars of slate spoil from old quarry workings on the fellside above, while the valley falls away dramatically behind.

This Muted Modern treatment reduces the winding road and rugged landscape to chalky, minimalist shapes. Rendered in a quiet palette of sand, oat, and sage, the design echoes classic travel posters but with a contemporary, stripped-back aesthetic. From across a room, the eye is drawn to the snaking road as it sharply divides the pale, blocky forms of the fells.

Framed and ready to hang, this print brings Lakeland scale to a hallway or study. A Natural wood frame perfectly complements the oat tones, drawing out the earthy warmth of the palette. Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
