Honister Pass is a spectacular climb. A narrow road scales steeply through a rocky defile, winding between crags and the slate spoil of old quarry workings that scar the fellside above, the valley falling away dramatically behind.

This design reimagines the stark landscape through meticulous ink hatching and impossible geometry. The steep valley walls become blocky, Escher-style cubes that play with perspective, framing the winding pass. In the water below, a mesmerising tessellation of fish transforms seamlessly into birds taking flight. From across a room, the high-contrast monochrome resolves into a mind-bending tribute to traditional engraving.

An arresting piece for a study or stairwell, this framed poster arrives ready to hang. A Black frame sharply defines the monochrome hatching, while a Natural wood option softens the geometric edge. As part of a wider collection, it works brilliantly on its own or hung as a curated set.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
