Honister Pass is a spectacular ascent, carrying a narrow road steeply through a rocky defile. Cyclists and fell-baggers know the drama of this route, navigating between towering crags while the valley falls away behind. The fellside above bears the scars of old quarry workings and slate spoil, providing a rugged, industrial marker of Lakeland history.

This design reimagines the harsh landscape through the elegant lens of Art Nouveau. Sweeping whiplash curves soften the jagged crags and slate workings into flowing, organic lines. From across a room, the colour palette replaces stark grey stone with warm, vintage tones of sage, rose and muted gold. An intricate ornamental border encloses the pass, anchoring the bold, classic typography below.

Striking on a stairwell or a study wall, this framed travel poster arrives ready to hang. The Natural solid wood frame is an ideal match, drawing out the golden tones of the botanical border, while shatterproof acrylic keeps the artwork safe. Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
