A familiar sight for walkers navigating the valley, Rydal Water is a shallow lake best viewed from the elevated terrace path. Here, bare oak and birch frame the scene from the left, looking across the water to Loughrigg Fell dropping to the far shore and the steep rise of Nab Scar.

This layered papercut design reduces the landscape to six distinct planes receding into mist. Rendered in woodland greens and slate blues, the sharp tree silhouettes contrast beautifully with the distant fells. From across a room, the bold shapes stand out, with each cut edge casting a soft, simulated shadow to create striking depth.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
