Blencathra’s broad saddleback summit rises steadily above valley pastures, dominating the skyline. From the meadow below, the fell provides a monumental backdrop to a silent ring of standing stones, separated from the rising ground by a dark, dense line of trees.

This design reimagines the landscape in the tradition of Japanese woodblock printing, built from layered colour and a quiet key line. From across a room, the eye catches the soft gradient of the sky and the bold, rhythmic shapes of the fellside contrasting with the shadowed stone monoliths in the foreground.

Perfect for a quiet study or stairwell, the piece arrives framed and ready to hang. A natural wood frame beautifully warms the earthy greens of the pasture, while a black frame grounds the dark tree line. Hang it singly or collect it alongside others in the series to build a Lakeland gallery wall.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
