Blencathra’s broad saddleback summit rises sharply above the valley pastures. In the foreground meadow, ancient standing stones form a striking circle, separated from the fell by a dark line of trees. It is an unforgettable view, deeply familiar to any walker marking their progress through the high country.

Rendered in a playful mid-century style, the landscape is reduced to flat, striking geometry. The ancient stones become bold grey forms, while the forest is a pattern of sharp green triangles. Blencathra itself is built from overlapping angular planes of teal and rust-red, textured with tiny, repeated marks that suggest scree and heather. A warm golden sun completes the vibrant composition.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this bold print brings mid-century warmth to a hallway, stairwell or study. A natural wood frame complements the mustard meadow perfectly, while a black frame echoes the dark pines and strong typography. Part of a wider regional series, it looks magnificent hung alone or collected as a set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
