Coniston Water is a long, straight lake defined by the dramatic whaleback ridge of the Old Man of Coniston rising along its far side. Viewed from the wooded eastern shore, past a simple jetty and moored boat, it is a definitive stretch of Lakeland water known deeply by walkers and sailors alike.

This Constructivist treatment reimagines the view through radical graphic agitation. The landscape is reduced to hard, striking diagonals of deep red, stark black, and vintage cream. From across a room, the water and fells become a sharp geometric composition, framing the foreground pines with absolute clarity.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this assertive piece commands a hallway or adds striking weight to a study wall. A black frame is the natural choice, anchoring the dark shadows and enhancing the bold design. It belongs to a wider series, allowing you to collect favourite places as a set.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
